I would like advice on dump valves if possible.

 

I've seen various Z's claiming they have Blitz dump valves fitted. When I spoke to Blitz on the phone I was informed that they do not do a particular dump valve for the Z, only a universal one.

 

I have been told that if I get a unversal one it would need a bracket and some welding would need to be involved. As I know diddly squat about welding I was wondering how big a job this would be. Price quoted for the universal dump valve was £220.

 

Can anyone confirm if they have had the universal dump valve fitted or whether it's a blitz dump valve from a different model car.

 

The only dump valve I can find for the Z is from HKS but they are charging £395 + VAT. Is there a massive difference between the Blitz and HKS to justify the money?

 

As I mentioned I know bog all about welding it looks like I might have to head towards the HKS one.

You can use the universal ones bud no probs, if you want em fitted to some hard pipes in the engine bay speak with danny at dta motorsport in the traders area and he'll sort you out. If you decide on the HKS, I can do em for £345 delivered. If fitting BOV's in place of the existing recirc pipes it's a little cheaper to do. Oh btw, Blitz used to do a Zed specific dump valve kit so yes it's highly possible those you spoke to were being honest.

Mine came with Blitz ones fitted on hard pipes , always thought the whole setup was made for a zed :confused: , ive since had Smithy,s stainless hard pipes modded to take them :bow: more bling :D
