Code 13 and that £25 price search charge

Finally got round to doing an ECU diagnostic following couple of weeks worth of random coolant boiling and subsequent discharge...

Cleaned coolant temp sensor but no joy, but ECU is giving me code 13, so this confirms the thing is phucked.

I know how to do it, I know the part number and I know the rough price (£20-£25?) but cos its an import, will Nelson still want to line their pockets with an additional £25 just to get me the price??

Or cos I know exactly what I want, can I avoid the ludicrous fee? The part number I have btw is from the Courtesy website so will this apply to this country also, or will this just be US?

In short, where can I get one sharpish, and without paying Nissan for the quote?

was talking about this yesterday at the slough meet, if you go to nelson with the right part no, there should be no charge as the fee is for searching for the part. however, one of the guys said he recently ordered from courtesy, it was cheaper & the parts arrived in only a few days, quicker then nelson who was out of stock on some items!!!!

a CD rom of all nissan parts will soon be up and running, as soon as my mate has worked out how to see the images(microfile pics)of the parts.

then the search charge will be a thing of the past.

"T"&"H"......

Might be worth replacing the radiator cap too. I had that exact problem and thats what it was in the end. The pressure relief valve was duff. They are only a few quid.

Yeah will replace the rad cap too to be on the safe side.

Does anyone know the part number for it?? And the one for the coolnat temp sesnor (to double check) while I'm at it??

Andy, do you have link or phone for MJP?

Scmaaaaaart.

Smurf my good fellow, I have just bought a coolant temp sensor and the part number is:

Stock Code: 2263051E02 / cost is £18.40 +Vodka

Took part number to Nelson today - he he he they tried to fob me off with the guage sensor instead (which is actually smaller, but £10 more) saying stuff like 'No Sir, thats the one at the front of the engine according to our database piece of shit so it's the one you need'.....what about the big f**ker next to it you idiots!!

Imbeciles!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway part arrives tomorrow so hopefully job done. Sorted.
