i tried to send a message to an admin but got no reply so i am posting this message here for simon and his family as he is part of this club i believe

unfortunately the new year isnt going to plan.

at about 9pm onwards new years eve, simon collapsed in the house and an ambulace had to be called, it seems at this time he may have suffered a mini stroke, until he gets scanned we do not know yet.

Its also possible he suffered a bout of food poisoning also

he spent that night in a stroke unit in nevill hall and after check was released the next day due to scan not being able to be done for some time. He is now resting comfortably and is regaining movement to his right side , his face has started to return to normal after dropping.

It is possible to suffer these kind of strokes and return to normal or suffer some ongoing problems.

we do not as yet know the cause or extent. the fact he is now at home is as worrying as it is comforting.

we will keep you all updated as time progresses, any well wishes to be passed on through this club if possible.

simon is speaking but only for short periods of time as he finds it tiring. if you wish to call please do not take too much time.

i hope you can all take time out and give him your thoughts.

kelly, cameron and family.

an update:

simon has improved today, and has regained use of his right arm, his face is a little better, however he is still not 100% and wont be for a while.

it would seem he has had a tia and this may just be due to overdoing things and the general condition he is in.

He is due to have a home visit by the doctors today and we will know more then.

He is aware of the well wishes from this club and the several others he is a member of, we have contacted all of his friends he has made from these clubs and they have been in contact.

we are thankfull for the well wishes offered and simon is also pleased by them, he will try and leave a message for the clubs he is in later today.

many thanks once again.

kelly, cameron and family.

I can only sympathise with Simons family and wish him a speedy recovery.

I myself spent new years day after picking the wife and her family up from the pud driving to Birmingham to take them to see a close rely who had a brain hemorage. I know the pain and worry that family go through first hand and can empathise with Simons close ones.

Looks likw things are getting better for Simon now so a breath of relief.

All the best, Scrawni

Blimey I am totaly shocked to hear this

Please pass on my regards to Simon and wish

a speedie recovery

Allan

Oh my god... Only just seen this... :( Hope you get well soon Si and my thoughts are with you and your family... Take it easy bud and don't try to do anything to strenououse...

Get well soon Si, we're thinking about you mate.

If it helps to know, my step mum has fairly regular strokes due to a brain illness and has always recovered well. Although her illness will never get better, she recovers completely from the strokes. She is out of action for a few days and looses movement on one side, then it gradually gets back to normal over the next few days.

simon & family.

more news today.

simon recieved a call from one of the technical directors at lotus cars main factory in norwich, they have extended an V.I.P. day there to him and his family. This was organised by the Lotus Esprit owners club of which he is a member since owning his car.

He also knows about the collection the members here have started, needless to say he got very upset and emotional. He will try to come online tomorrow to thank you all in a post, however this will be only if he is able to and is not to tired.
