Is there anyone on here that would do the two console pods with the blue led`s for me as ive never used a soldering iron in my life and would botch it just by looking at it. There would be many beer tokens for anyone that could do it :)

What price would i be looking at for someone to weld me 2 new rear arches as the owner before dafox rolled them with a ball point hammer or a bears claw :headvswal Dafox had them wax-oiled so are good for a while yet but just wanted to get a rough guess at cost to replace.

If i was to get a set of UK clocks, could i transfer my milage on mine which is in KMs to miles? Dont know if thats entirely legal or not? I wouldnt be changing it to a lower value but converting the true milage into a uk clock which would then read in miles from then on.

Brakes, this is my setup..

Brembo 3G Grooved & Dimpled Front Discs

EBC Grooved & Dimpled Rear Discs

EBC Redstuff Kevlar Pads All Round ....

But she doesnt want to stop at all, not even just at high speeds or when cold but generally its a major job stopping her without dropping a gear which makes the arse twitch. Theres no sloppiness in the pedal and feels nice and secure/tight but the stopping distance is well over what it feels it should be at. They also heat up and smell quite a bit if ive been in her for longer then 20mins.

1. I am sure someone would, if you cant find anyone then give me a couple of months and I will

2. A lot, ask a few local bodyshops but you get what you pay for and I should expect £300-400 per arch

3. Mileage can be changed fairly easily.

4. Your calipers may have a seized piston

:D

OUCH Do they just do the inside of the arch or will i need that section respraying also?

Is it legal to do though as i dont know how id go about telling the dvla or if i even needed to

4. Your calipers may have a seized piston

If it did would they stick all the time or would that mean they wouldnt apply full pressure (if that comment makes me look thick i can do nothing else then admit im a noob)

:D

The mileage can be sorted so I can send you the link if you want to do it ;)

you don't need a uk clock jusy get an electric converter. I used to have a V5 and copied the blue and red including a Nakamichi CD500 with blue red illumination. see pics.

I may consider doing your for you but it would take a lot of beer tokens.

I have no idea what a V5 or a Nakamichi CD500 is

Ive got jap clocks that are converted but want to swap over to the uk clocks once and for all then changing the milage to read the true uk milage. The one i have has an alluminium bezal and i wanted the clean standard look.

I need the pods doing but havnt found a uk set yet or where i can get the indiglow dials from.

How many tokens would you need mate for the pods first?

  I must be really tired

Its quite a jump from the V5 to a ZED aint it. The dub still sounds sweet and ive got the R32 twin exhaust so it sounds lovely above 3k revs  but even though they are pretty quick cars it doesnt compare at all.

Now that i understand what you meant i see how much it looks like it, showed the missis your pics and she thought it was a golf.

A unamed superstar (wants to remain private) off of here has ordered me the leds and im posting my pods off to him mate so no need but thanks for the offer. Im deciding which colour covers to go for and would still like to take you up on your offer of a hand if i get stuck though please.

Cheers

Never had a problem with the brakes - in fact, much improved after upgrading. Zeds are known for not having the greatest brakes. One job i didn't get around to was bleeding and replacing the brake fluid - might be worth a go.

The aluminum bezel is removable - simply stuck on with double sided pads if you want to remove.

As for the arches - might be worth looking into wide arse kits.

:)

  • Author

It might just be me not used to that much weight coming at you at that speed. Ill try bleeding them as shes off the road at the moment due to the engine undertray.

Excuse me for being stupid but do they cut away the standard arches and fit new wide ones? I had images of it being just a body kit so the standard arches where still underneath

Did you see my post about the seats dave? Ill will def have them off you if your dad still has them please mate.

  • Author

Cheers for that mate.

Do you know a rough guess at the cost of a wide arch kit and fitting would work out at compared to about a grand for just replacing the arches?
