Vibration

Since I bought my Z in 2004 (N/A 95 5 spd), I have a vibration issue.

When I accelerate there is a big vibration comming from underneth.

What I tried to solve the problem

I balanced the 4 wheels

I bought a new tranny rubber mount,

I balanced the stock drive shaft,

I bought a 1 piece aluminium driveshaft (stillen)

(The runout is in the factory spec)

I changed my N/A engine for TT,

so I changed the tranny and the engine rubber mount at the same time.

I did a 4 wheels alignment,

I tried some friend wheels,

The problem persist...

I disassemble the old tranny and I found out that there is a worn bearing,(main drive gear bearing i think well the closest one to the propshaft)

Is this a common problem on Z32 tranny?

Could this bearing cause my problem?

I'm about to disassemble the rear diff.

Any suggestion???

Please help me....

The prop bearing is always something that goes on these. Mine went on my old NA and you get a strong vibration through the footwell/floor, they're about 130/140 quid or so depending on what you have.

You can get them here:

Sorry, can't hekp then :slap:

I'm sure someone else will be along shortly

What tyres you running her on.

I Imported a TRD Celica (the one in my sig) and I thought the wheel bearings where knackered. So I replaced them and it made no difference. I had the wheels checked out to see if they'd been damaged in shipping or needed balancing. I tried the drive shafts, the LCD diff and in the end it turned out to be the tyres.

I swear by Bridgestone S02 for the Z. I'm in my 8th year of ownership and have done 130000 miles and tryed at least 10 different makes, but always come back to the Bridgestone S02's. I've had eight sets.

The TRD had Bridgestones on, but they really just didn't suit the car. So I put Perrelli Rosso's on and all was smooth. I since put Micheline Pilots on the TRD and they really suit the car.

So try some Bridgestones
