'tyres sold online' goes into liquidation. C*NTS.

Just received a notice of liquidation letter from them with forms to fill in if i want to try and claim my money back from them (well complicated)I thought they were being cagey with me. They took my order for SO2's,swipe the money from my account, then go bust.Wankers.

Good luck getting your money back, I have dealt with comapanies who have gone bankrupt before on a few occasions and they usually end up only honouring a percentage of their debts,

you may be in a better situation if you can proove they took your money knowing full well they couldn't deliver, if you bought on your credit card phone up your credit card agency and tell them to do a charge back, you may get your money back and it will be up to the bank to deal with getting the momeny off of the company,

hope that helps

Sorry to hear this wozza, unforunately as with most liquidations after preferential creditors (tax man and bank) have had there cut there is usually bollox all left for customers.

Unfortunately I paid by switch, so no compensation there. There is one consolation though....... The tyres were 16's!! would not b a happy boy if i'd ordered a set of fat boots!!!!

I mailed them and asked for a quote on 285/35/18's last week and they never replied.

If they had I would have lost over £700 squids with them!

I nearly ordered them online but had a query so mailed them luckily.

Phew!

WTF go to the website and order tyres, they are still processing them ? frown.gif

Now this is not on.

always use a credit card for any online purchase, it is the only safe way of purchasing stuff, you should contact your bank anyway, there may be something that they can do, I've managed to get money back on switch before,

I'm off to the bank now 2 c what they say.

You mean you didn't use a credit card ???? Oh shit ..... Banks don't give a monkeys about their customers money - credit card companies loose their own money and are keen to get it back for you.

UR right . Just returned from the bank, they didnt give a rats arse, just have to send off the claim and sit tight.

Just a thought. My brother had a couple of grand skimmed from his bank account by someone using a fake Switch card. He has a Visa or Mastercard logo on his switch card and was able to get his money back going through them. His bank just weren't interested, he only found out because they sent him a letter saying we're charging you £xx for going overdrawn without permission etc. My Switch card does not have either logo.

I only ever use the switch card for the cash point machine, use the Credit Card for absolutely everything else.

1) Bought a large wood dash kit (for the wifes Suzuki) from Prestige Panels in November. They eventually delivered the small kit just before Xmas. Chase the guy, promises promises, it's been sent (where's the proof tracker number then?), usual stuff, very apologetic.

End of March I don't even bother to phone the guy just write to MBNA explain the situation, no quibles ALL the money goes back in my account and they say if he queries it we'll let you know, if not Ce' La Vie. I'm quids in, got myself a wood dash kit for free.

If he queries it then he'll have to get me the rest of the kit before he gets his wonga.

2) Another situation when I stayed in a hotel in Amsterdam, I wasn't happy with the room, they still charged me because I never checked out before midday. Told them don't worry I'll sort it with my card co. MBNA refunded my account, no problem.

3)Booked a series of sunbed sessions paid in advance, co. closed down for "refurb". Phone MBNA, refund on my account please, that'll do nicely.

When you pay by Credit Card the vendor knows that the card co will take the money back in a flash so generally they don't mess. When it's your switch it's the same as paying by cheque, then it's your grief.

Look for the logo and if it's on their get back on to your bank.

cheers grant i'll have a looksy!
