Hi,

My A/C wont blow air to my windscreen, and at this time of year its a pain in the a**!!

All other blowers are working fine (dash/footwell etc), Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

There`s a demister button near the centre of the dash..that should direct the air to the windscreeen . HTH

Here you go bud, give this link a try >> http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ha&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=112&design=default&total=168

It's the first page of the Trouble Diagnoses section for the Air-Con in the on-line service manual. Just click anywhere on the page for the next page to come up.

Hopefully that should sort you out.

Dave

You know mate I had this problem and you pointed me to that link but, I think I must be stupid cos I just don't understand it all.

If you are going to the Jan meet do you think you could go through it with me.

Cheers.

mine was doing this the other day....try turning temp up to full 40C and covering the sun sensor....small round black disc right up on the dash under the windscreen (passenger side) air vent i think it can fool it into working

No disrespect intended here, but that isnt the answer, it shouldn't need 'fooling'. Using the diagnostic proceedure is simple and straight forward, and will come up with a fault code that'll tell you what is wrong with the system. Then you can rectify the fault properly.

The fault is either one of the sensors, the control amp modual or one of the door motors. It's just a case of which one, and the diagnostic will show you!

oh for sure use the diagnostic...its just ideas so the fella can get going and fault find / sort it later

Ooooo, not seen that link before. It looks very straight forward and nicely explained. Nice pictorial display as well, it should help scrawni out, otherwise if he can wait until the Feb meet then I'll hook my ConZult up for him :D
