hi all

 

need to replace my standard rear spoiler and have narrowed it down to either going clean or getting a 99 spec fitted. which one do you think? any pics would be cool.

99-spec all the way. Smooth looks nice, but IMHO, boot skin looks nicer if you're going smooth. Otherwise, 99-spec is the nicest OE type spoiler. Kicks the back end up, but doesn't look OTT.

I think smooth tailgates look good on wide ass cars but not right on the normal arches

smooth for me, never been a fan of the 99 spec

so if you buy the 99 spec spoiler do you also have to buy the perspex strip or does that come with the spoiler?

You need perspex strip as extra.

Sorry sold, although SWZ Performance are to be the sole Uk supplier for the 99spec spoilers in Fibreglass and Carbon Fibre.

The problem with that statement is that all those that like smooth will say go smooth, and all those with 99's will say go 99!! :D

So you'll never really get opinions that matter. The real answer is YOU'VE got to make your own mind up ;)

 

For a comparison, I've got pics of mine both smooth and with a 99 on!

I did :D I originally went for the smooth look, and I really liked it, but then I saw what SUFFOLKZX did with my old spoiler and decided that I wanted somthing back in place of it. Then the oppertunity came up to be able to afford the 99 spec one and a FREE Uk spec rear bumper (so I could install proper rear fogs) So I had the whole back end re-modded for the second time, I even added the side markers from the JSpec bumper and illuminated them.

Thanks, regarding the pic, it's a shame that I had a temp centre panel fitted when I took that shot, as my new illuminated panel wasn't ready by then.
