I am starting to get a clonking noise coming from the back of my z (tein shocks and spring all round) and im debating whether to go for poly bushes (worried if their gonna be too harsh) or oem one's comments please.

OEM are silicone filled and don't have the longevity of polybushes, not to mention the fact that polybushes are cheaper than OEM items.

If replacing, I don't really see a point in getting OEM replacements.

No not noticebly. I have mine done (standard suspension) and couldn't really tell much difference. If your gonna replace them then deffo go silicone.

or get nismo bushes, like me! they are made of a harder rubber than stock and the car handles great.

the only problem with going silicone is that nissan dont sell these bushes on their own, you have to buy a subframe and what ever arms you will need which aint cheap.

nismo bushes however can be purchased on their own from Courtesy, although Nismo subframe bushes arent available (S14 ones DO NOT fit; i made that mistake) so for the subframe you will need to go poly. I think Nismo Omori in japan have the z32 nismo subframe bushes though, but that would cost bucks. fitting nismo bushes is labour intensive too; you need a press.

then we come back to polybushes, which are probably longer lasting than either but will have a slightly harsher ride, and is probably the cheapest and easiest to buy and/or have fitted.
