Is your Z standard spec? WRXs are bloody quick, especially around corners. A tuned WRX is a killer;)

Never really had a problem with scoobs, they sit with me till around 30mph and then the zed pulls away, never came across one on the twisties so no idea how they do there.

Paul.

I know they can be tuned to various degrees of power, but yes so can Zeds:)

I remember seeing one at Vmax and that was very fast on the straights and almost keeped with me in a quick car.

the only mods that i have on the z are a set of full stainless pipes from turbos back nothing else

Yep, as above..will stick with a stock TT at low speeds, but no chance as speed rises they have very short legs.

All depends on version though, there are a 367billion different types with various states of standard tune

Took out a 2005 WRX STI with the Prodrive pack fitted that I'm considering buying today. Over 300 BHP and yes it was very quick and stuck to the road really well. Just need to decide if I can handle spending most of my life in a BP petrol station filling it up.

father in law has the type-r and its seriously fast, kept up with my zed, his runs 300 bhp but its alot lighter and feels alot more responsive, the model he has has the fastest official 0-60 on the scoobies, think its 4.3 seconds which aint bad "of the shelf"

must admit i need an estate car and i do fancy a scooby sti wagon, doesnt take much to get them to 350bhp ish

Scoobies will leave a 300 standing round the bends, thats what they were built and designed for. Top end is a different story. Different cars built for different things.
