Phoned the number in a previous thread and spoke to a guy called Gareth, as recommended by MCZX.

 

Said to him I had another car and wanted to insure a modified imported 300zx Twin Turbo on limited mileage classic policy.

 

Told him I had always driven on my fathers policy so had zero No Claims Discount.

 

Told him I had expensive alloys, kit, GReddy Zorst and HKS Induction.

 

Told him I would limit miles to 3000 and it was garaged and not used for work.

 

Top bloke, called me back within half an hour and result:

Fully Comp, 0 NCD : £475

Thats cool, I can now get a unichip as NU-Direct only allowed 3 mods and no more!

If you do call, ask for Gareth and mention this forum and me if you like, doubt it will get you a better deal but the guy was helpfull and I did say I would recommend him here further to what others have already said

Glad that it worked out for you aswell, Gareth seems like he knows what hes talkin about. If the 300 is your second car its the way to go, hope it saves people from having to get rid of their pride and joy because of premiums.

I'm paying them £1150 for mine.

 

But that an import, 10000 miles a year, and with the missus on the policy too. I'm 28 which is apparently the problem (or at least that's what he told me ) and the missus is 25. If you're over 30 then you'll get a much better deal (he reckon about £300 less). Still cheaper than anywhere else by about 125 squids...
