I just passed the wonderful boys in blue (or dayglo yellow in this case) with their funny little hand held camera monitoring the speed of drivers on my local B road at midnight.(that's midnight!!! B Road!!!!)

 

It's really comforting to know they are out there 24 hours a day making the world a better place. I am now sending lurv to all speed cops of the world and invite you all to do the same.

 

I don't think he got me, the ba$$tard! Haven't they got homes to go to? I heard some of em were married!?

a freinds of mines dad is a traffic cop, he is a nice bloke, tells us when new speed cameras are being erected,

 

does anyone have vans around their area? in my town we have vans that park in the road and have a camera set up about 5 feet in front of them, they are the worst out there fooking coonts.

I got done at 1am on the way back from my girlfriends on a totally clear stretch of road where you could see there was nothing for a good mile ahead - no cars and no people. The twats stopped me and said I was doing 45 in a 30! Oops. Said I thought it was a 40 limit and they said it was until last week but the speed limit has been changed and I should have noticed the signs.

What signs I asked. The 40 signs had been removed and I should have noticed and KNOWN it was now a 30. Asked why it was now a 30 anyway as there is nothing for miles around and they said that they are going to build a new housing estate along the sides of the road! FFS Wouldn't it be an idea to put the fucking houses there before changing the limit? Us drivers are treated like fucking idiots who can't make any judgement for ourselves. Got a huge fine and points for that and all because they had nothing better to do on a country road at 1am.

The twats even asked what i would have done if a kid walked out in front of me FFS. At 1am on a country road with no houses and no parked cars? FFS Wankers!

lets hope they are not out on my way home cos im blitzed and for all those bods who are about to say shame on you i dont give a shit cos we all know you've done it at some time and i know what im doing is wrong

It's speed camera central here in Essex! From the 5th Gear web site :-

Andy, thats because essex police keep the revenues from the speed cameras now,

 

I noticed a new yellow speed camera pop up near wickford about 2 months ago, now around where i live (southend) there are a lot of new yellow cameras popping up,

 

interesting though is that they now can only signpost for speed cameras if there is a speed camera within a 1km radius and all new cameras must be yellow and visable from about 400 meters i think,

 

 

I usually spot them form about 50 meters away and slam on the anchors

 

I live in North Wales & the coppers around here are a bunch of arrogant tossers! They've got nothings better to do than sit on corners pulling people up for minor traffic offenses.

I got the shit kicked out of me not long back & I took the people concerned to court over it. The local copper dealing with the case seemed to be more on the side of the criminal . I got the impression that they were trying to get me to drop the case. THe copper concerned even said that he had known the lads for years cos they'd been in trouble loads of times & that they kind of had respect for them. FFS it seems that if you keep your nose clean & never cause trouble then you have no respect. I dare say that all coppers aren't like this but I've been attacked twice and the coppers didn't want to be bothered on both occasions, couldn't be bothered with the paper work no doubt!

Also they talk down to you like your a child, in a condescending fashion. At the end of the day, they're doing a job just like everyone else here. They're no better than anyone else!!!

PS. The lads who attacked me got found guilty of the offences!
