Oh bugger!

Thought my new wheels were laquered on the rims but they aren't, they're bare aluminium!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have the same problem and if so, what wheel cleaner can I use (and where can I get it) that won't eat in to the aluminium. Wonder wheels is my usual choice but it's acid based.

Does any one use a polish after cleaning?

HELP!!! The roads are getting salty.

Are yours alloy or chrome??

Andy

Just polish them and then laquer them. Job done.

ive just finshed doing a set.

In this winter weather they will corrode untreated unless you clean them constantly.

pete due to the rim being used by the tyre fitters to mount the tyre what laquer will stand up to it. i was just going to leave mine as alloy as i hate it when the laquer peels.

is it 2 pac laquer?

Yep. Max Meyer HS Laquer.

PPG is even better but LOADSA money.

ive just watched my fitter mount two 265/35-18 tyres on freash laquered rims. Not a mark!. Top man he is with a state of the art 3 arm fitter.
