I lost the back end last night, the Zed is not in a good way!

I hit curbs on both sides of the car. At the moment I can confirm that at least one of my rims is fvcked beyond repair, another 2 may also be too damaged to continue.

The main problem though, is the rear left wheel alignment. I used to have a little negative camber on the rears now I have a LOT of positive camber and even more lateral play in the wheel.

It will go up on the ramps later so I can have a look at how bad the damage is and what it's going to cost to fix. I will post pics later.

On the positive side:

1. nobody was hurt

2. nobody else was involved

3. I wanted to get rid of the red wheels anyway

I just hope it is not written off...

Crap matey, that's two in less than a week.

Think everybody needs to take it easy till it gets a little drier and warmer! :nono:

sorry to hear that Mike. it could have been a lot worse. i take it the bodywork is undamaged - if so then thats another big cost avoided. good luck.

fook mate glad its wasn't worse, hope its an easy repair

Body work appears pretty much untouched.

I have a couple of small cracks in the front bumper but it has held up really well, it wont need anything doing to it.

Me too!

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but I'm glad it was not as bad as your crash.

Time to make a call to the insurance company to discuss my options.

All the best with the insurance company and I hope you don't discover anymore damage.

Ouch! Insurance? I wouldn't bother tbh! Just get in touch with AndyZ and get a s/h rear end to replace the parts that are bent/broken. Insurance will want to replace all the parts with new so will more than likely write it off.... Plus you'll affect your NCB ;)

i agree with Andy. its always cheaper in the long run to take it on the chin (and in the wallet) now. thats what i did when i had a fight with a roundabout.

I'm starting to think the same way. I just wanted to find out my options with insurance.

It will cost me £350 excess and at least another £700 on top of my premium next year!

you can pick up cheap suspension arms for next to nothing anyway mate, so get them replaced away from any insurance claim's and get it aligned after.

glad your ok though bud :duffer:

Sorry to hear that mate.............hope you get it all sorted out quickly and without to much cost

Thanks mate, I am already in the process of sorting it all out.

Just got to look on the positive side. I never liked the red wheels anyway LOL.

Sorry to see this bud.

Give us a shout if you need a hand.

Never know I might be able to help.

Make the tea or something.
