i know of the die hard fans of you get what you pay for ect and in an ideal world i would love to pay £150 a corner for tyres but its just not gonna happen soooo these have had some great reviews and the quality of products nowadays are very good. also they must have had many tests and quality controls to pass eu regs ect

please could you give me your opinion on these tyres.

oh my word, hes put fulruns on the front, never heard of them im bobbing it, im not driving it and asKing for a swap/upgrade on monday..am i being paranoid?

Yes ! ;)

Alan........

mincey, is your reply to all the thread or just to that post?

what about frappin it on the autobahns on these tyres?!

just because im paranoid doesnt mean they are not out to get me.

Many people have a poor opinion of Nangkangs too, (again these tyres have been discussed on here), but often peoples poor opinon's are based on hear say and their dislike for the name. Nangkangs have had all of the slagging that the tyres in question on this thread have recieved.

But, in my actual experience Nangkangs, at least in the bigger high performance sizes that we are talking about here are fine. As I say, this is from experience not some opinion based on wether or not I like the name (which I dont).

All tyres sold here have to comply to certain standards, I cant see them falling apart at high speed. They may not wear well, or grip well wet and/or dry, but they have to be safe.

Someone, sooner or later will spend their money and see if these tyres are OK. But many on here will still slag them off, and will do forever.

I have used this example before, but who among us, if you are old enoght to remember, would have even considered buying a Datsun Sports car thirty years ago? They rusted, were dynamically poor, the styling was not so hot, etc etc etc. Sure they were reliable but nobody actually "wanted" one.

And yet here was are thinking that Nissans are among some of the best cars in the world. Will this be said of Nangkangs and Linglongs in the future? We are all allowed our views, but to slag something off without experience or knowledge of the product is silly, and short sighted. No offence. :-)

As an example,

I was selling a C4 Corvette at the start of the year and it needed a couple of tyres on the rear. Wasnt going to fork out on expensive ones just to sell it.

Got a pair of Nangkangs, 245/50/16 from Mytyres delivered for £98.

Ran the C4 for about a month before I sold it with no problems ! :D

Sure it was a wee bit tail happy in the wet, but it was a Corvette !!

Drove the car down to Yorkshire to pick up mt current Zed, and gave it some stick on the way down, tyres were no problem.

They may not last as long, or be better in the wet than some others, but at the price you are paying, you shouldnt have any complaints.

Just my 2p`s worth from somebody who has actually tried them.

Alan..............

Basically you get what you pay for, go for any branded tyre and you will be fine, maybe bar Avons as alot of bad reports about them, ive tried 'fullrun' and if you just drive totally normal then yes there fine, start to press on and they start to show there limitations quite quickly, for the extra few £££s it could save a reshaped Z and you dont want that !

go for toyos mate . fantastic tyres and not to exspensive either :duffer:

i have linglongs on the bacK and fulruns on the front, i can upgrade the fulruns as i havent driven on them yet, but i will have to sticK with the linglongs, which in fairness dont seem bad at all. are the tyres on the rear, which taKes all the power, or the tyres on the front (the weight) the most important for grip?

ta for the advice guys its great

paul

Personally I would prefer to loose ther rear and be able to steer myself out of trouble, I hope.

If you lose the front you just hang on.

This thread reminds me of an article in a bike mag some years ago. They were slagging off all the riders who just HAD TO have the best sports tyres going. Trouble was they were thinking they were far better than they were in reality, so the super sticky race tyres never got up to temp, and were actually performing less well than a set of decent sports/touring tyres.

I've had and still got Kumho Ecsta 712 on mine and have to say they are great tyres, and I drive my car enthusiastically!

they look nice as well and for 360 a tyre - well priced too. Wear is good.

I had Ventus on the rear of my old zed and they were not too bad in the wet,

I now have Toyo on the rear of my new zed and they are really good, plus at only £87 each at the moment (delivered free as well if you buy 2 or more)

I'll be buying them again when I need them

where did you get them from and what size tyre?
