Well as i have prety much decided/finallized the exterrior, i turned my hand to stuff for the inside, been looking at alsorts of different gadetry and the like, read the thread about the greddy informeter, and it got me thinking, if i can do away with an abundance of gauges and get a few of the electronic gadets.

 

the probleme i having is working out which one's i really need and which one are usefull but just look trick?

 

obviously a boost controller has a very usefull perpose.

 

i have a few in mind if anyone has any thought's on these i'd be greatfull:

 

Apex'i RSM

Apex'i S-AFC

Apex'i AVC-R

 

Greddy Profec b2

Greddy informeter

 

Also if anyone could recomend any alturnative that too would be a great help.

I have both the Greddy Profec b2 and Greddy informeter, They are both great bits of kit and I use them every day.

 

Not had any problems with either, the Greddy Profec b2 is solid as a rock. T

 

he Greddy informeter is a very usful tool and can monitor almost everything. Its totally plug and play, plug it in the ecu port and thats it.

 

It monitors speed, rpm, water temp, fuel temp, tps position, a/f ratio, ignition timing, voltage, both o2 sensor voltages and any ecu error codes.

 

You can set any value to be displayed in a number of ways, you also set you own warnings etc.

 

Its almost like a mobile datascan, i have used it to check other peoples cars a number of times.

 

with it you can test your ecu, water sender, fuel temp sender, tps, speed sensor, rpm, o2 sensors, maf, cas and battery

Also I'd add up how much all these gadgets are gonna cost in total, for not much more than £1k you can get standalone engine management that'll do boost control, traction control etc etc as well as being full mappable.

AVC-R is a boost controller. RSM is just fancy pants and shows 0-60, estimated bhp (with G-force sensor, usually £40 extra), revs, speed, lap times, etc. S-AFC is used to adjust mixture and AFAIK isnt very effective on Zs. the series 2 also has other displays etc similar to the RSM.

I have the Greedy Profec E1.

 

I used to have the Apexi AVCR and the Apexi S-AFC

 

I got the Profec for the screan and because I was going to go down the WideBand lamber and you could then used the profec screan for mapping.

 

The New Apexi stuff is the Dogs parts and IMO better than the Greedy stuff.
