first 5mins/2 miles the clocks read 0 mph - heavy steering

I'm posting this for a mate with a 94 300ZXTT which has just had a clock conversion from kph to mph...

I am having a small problem with the clocks . When I start up in the morning for the first 5 mins/2 miles the clocks read 0 mph. Then start jumping about before starting to read correctly. At the same time the clocks showing zero the power steering seems to be extremely heavy ( possibly disabled) this has

happened the last 2 mornings.

Anyone got any ideas/seen this one before?

I had similar problem directly after my speedo convertion. Where was it done?

Nottingham, Mr Luke

From what I have heard Luke is very good. People do make mistakes though. There could be a faulty connection or conversion box. If the problem started directly after the conversion then you need to take it back. If that's not the case then like Craig said, speed sensor!

The progressive power steering and speedo use the speed sensor for it's data. They are part of the same circuit.
