i have just got a set of Rays 350z 18" wheels (8" front 8.5" rear) and I need to get tyres 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 tyres (i think)

I have not yet tried Bridgestone RE050A tyres, has anyone had experiance with these? has anyone compares them to Falken 452s?

Also what is the difference between these two tyres:

bridgestone re050a 92y

and

bridgestone re050a 88y

thanks darren

Try the Toyo Proxes T1-R, I love em, they are a truly "great" tyre! I have them all round on my tt and they are brill (wet or dry), wouldn't use anything else at the mo. They also last REALLY well.

The standard tyres you get on the 350z were designed specifically for it. They're not bad, but they are pretty hard and last a long time. Don't think you need to get the standard ones if you're fitting them on a Z, but I would stick with Bridgestone or Toyo as a cheaper compromise.

the standard tyres are bridgestone re040X... but I have heard that they wear fast on the 350zuk forums? I figured the re050s would be a step up, or as I have read here, the Falken 452s might be good... i would save a lot by going with the falkens but I am not sure which to go for.
