Has anyone tried the front or back strut braces that crop up on Ebay? I know the front can be (very)awkward, but the back one must be fairly straightforward surely? They're on Ebay for £20!

Cheers,

I bought one off Ebay which looks the dogs doodaas but when fitted, collides with the bonnet even with the lining removed. Had to take it off again. You can have it for a tenner.

Rubbish mate get a carbing front and a cusco rear.Cheap bars tend to flex.

There are currently only 3 actual Strut bars that work that Im aware of - The Carbing, cusco and the Stillen. Each will cost you £200+ , compared to the flimsey ebay jobbies which are there for "show" only and dont even fit properly.

I got a rear one from the 800rwhp bloke on ebay for 20 quid. Very good value for money, fits well and I'm pleased with it.

Thanks lads - that's about what I'd suspected. Several different designs out there and I did think one of the rear ones looked OK (could be the chap mentioned above, I don't remember). Fronts I've heard are a pain in the *rse so will be getting proper pukka for that one at least. Of those who've fitted one (these are for a '93 import 2+2 N/A), do you think they've made a huge difference?
