PMSL whats wrong with the designated smoking/non smoking areas we've had in restaurants for years?

don't think smoke understands where its not allowed to go

LMAO neeeeeeext

at the end of the day it forces non smokers to inhale other peoples cancer who choose not to , so ban it in enclosed spaces .non smokers dont force smokers to passive anything so its about fairness. BAN IT

look im a smoker IM PROUD TO BE A SMOKER. I ENJOY A FAG!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE MY SMOKE GET OUT OF MY AIR SPACE!!

By all means certainly have non smoking rooms in all establishments and a total ban in restaraunts. but banning it like they are is another way of bringing the nanny state in. I despise people that look down and criticise me for enjoying a smoke. This woman in a car park que was tutting and whinging about my smoke so i blew it more towards her.

Oh yes and when the ban is introduced it will not affect the Houses of Parliament as that is classed as a palace, how convenient. I shall certainly be first to go to Westminster and puff my smoke in John "waste of Airspace" Prescotts face!!

rant over

:nono: naughty cigarettes

Why don't you just stop breathing then?

How can you say that passive smoking does no harm?

It is a fact that smoking is bad for you. So how can breathing in the smoke produced by cigs not be bad? Is there something magical in cigarettes which only makes it bad if you suck the smoke through the filter, and the smoke produced just from the end of the burning cig is perfectly safe? Also what part of the lungs removes all the bad substances in the smoke before the smoker blows it back out into the air that every one else breaths?

As for Fairladyzgirl saying get out of her air space, fine, as long as the smoke stays within half a metre of you, anything past that is not your air space, so infact you re invading their air space.

There are also people saying that why dont they ban fat people in cafés? Well A person can eat unhealthy all they want and it wont effect other people's health. The people who serve these fatty foods dont get heart desease because they are near some one eating fatty foods.

Smoking is totally different. It effects the health of every one who is around you.

I go playing snooker every week for a few hours and I come back stinking of smoke. I need a shower to get rid of the smell. Its awful, and most smokers cant smell it, and most smokers smell of it most of the time.

However I do feel that smokers have got it hard. Personally, instead of having a "non smoking area" like most pubs and clubs do, they should have a smoking area. A closed off well ventilated area where they can feed their cravinds and then come back.

I dont think banning smoking will effect business at all. This is the UK, how long can people go without alcohol? A week maybe?

BTW, Vinz, bonefire night is a celebration of foiling a terrorist act. ;)

pubs are for drinking in & smoking in. stop whinging about it! :p

Because one of the main schools of thought is that its the hot gases which actually cause the cancer - NOT the smoke.

Fat people DO cause pollution - I don't want to smell their sweaty farts after they've eaten their 3rd tea of the day in a greasy spoon

FFS, stop being so old fasioned.

Pubs are not for drinking and smoking, please get out the the 70s and 80s and get into THIS century.

Pubs are for drinking and fighting/killing people. Much better on the health ;)

What really p*sses me off is when I'm walking along behind someone and I suddenly get a lungful of second-hand carcinogenic grot because I don't know they're smoking.

Puffers, go and poison yourselves somewhere away from me!

That said, I think pubs that want to allow smoking should be able to apply for a licence to do so and then have to have a smokers section. As supposedly free people in this country we should be able to make our own decision about going in there!

BRB, I'm off to suck on a double decker bus' exhaust pipe :D

nah hang on a minute fine ill stop pouring hundreds into the coughers through the tax im paying on smoking and ill expect all you none smokers to pay the lost revenue shall i? nah doubt any non smokers would but they will al reap the benefits from the extra tax im paying!!

its a clear cut as this

tap room- smokers

pub side - non smokers

lets go back to the old skool and stop everyone whingeing

if the goverment wants us to stop smoking... why not close all cigarette factories - oh hold on, coz they make money out of it..

precisely

No one is saying ban smoking all together although lets face it if they did then alot of people would stay alive longer but at the end of the day its upto them person who smokes!! what were saying is ban it from public places where it can affect people who dont smoke!! simple

As for revenue i'm sure it wont be far off balancing the books from what it costs to keep the smokers alive and if i remember rightly the cost of treating smokers faaaaaaaaaar out does the costs of drinkers!!

Also i HATE tw@ts who throw ciggys out the car window!! if you want to smoke that much keep it in your car, thats what the ciggy tray is for  but oh no you dont want it in the car as it smells :slap:

Last point and leaving it on a funny note it makes me pi55 myself laughing when i see people driving to work with their windows down to smoke in the middle of winter freezing their t1ts off just to get their "fix"

From a non smoker its difficult to understand smokers but i will never be able to get my head around why you do it, it makes you smel, its bloody expensive and it harms your health?? makes no sense at all??

would if a big fat ol bitch fell on ya

Right,I have smoked for nearly 51 years and never had a problem with my health because of it.I enjoy having a fag.I will not give it up, nor will I be dictated to by none smokers or the law of the land, in any way shape or form. If I fancy a smoke I will do so where ever I please and as often as I like.If people dont like it "tough".If they want to make a personal issue of it,then let em step up to the plate.

Is that the usual selfish thoughts of most smokers is it?
