he he he yeah and if you like it go get it biggrin.gif

At the end of the day its what you like and enjoy.

But don't blame us when everyone tells you it's ugly wink.gif

if you think the supra looks nice, then you better go for it, but you're the one that has to live with that decision.....

the z is much more pleasing on the eye.

a little older, so slightly harder to tune mod for mod, but better legroom front and back, better heritage, and an all round nicer car, imho

has to be a 300zx - if you check thru the posts you'll see that 300zx owners are calmer, friendlier, willing to engage in scholarly debate, more open to other points of view, less likely to start flaming over (what? - I've forgotten now) and generally more karma-friendly than owners of any other car.

whatever spins your motor..for me the supra looks like a bullfrog on acid. The Z is just a better shape. Both cars are very quick, have lots of tuning potential, are reliable, will cost £££s to put right when goes wrong. Toyota badge better than Nissan. if you can stand frog face of course.

...or buy a Z. You'll lurv it.

get the supra m8 newer car less people tryin to spank ure ass for bits and you can see the engine to fix bits yourself....but if you get a z you get to join us the crazy gang at billing

Dish Mate,

Don't take this as a sign from God, but if you try and use the Hairdressers (no disrespect to Hairdressers) Link to the Supra Forum it doesn't work Mate!!!!

But I am a bit worried that with the name 'Dish' the Supra forum could be for you, say no more.

'Nuff Said,

Mark

Buy the Supra and join this forum, like I did wink.gif

Seriously though, go with your gut instinct as they're both fabulous cars. I lpersonally ike the design of both cars. They're very different so it's down to personal taste in this department.

I'm not sure I would call "Datsun" better heritage ;-)

Hey Glen them things were real fast in their day wink.gifnow what was Toyota building to compete with that lot wink.gif answer= FUCK ALL biggrin.gif.

Nice one, senna. Now has anyone got a pic of the Fairlady which started it all off? From memory, this was a near TR4a or TR5 or something "copy". But probably didn't leak oil...

(just to be fair, didn't Toyota do a cute convertible - driven in You Only Live Twice by Kissy Suzuki?)

Scarey thought. I was looking for an MGB V8 when I thought, no - try a 240/260/280 zed. Good looks, good performance and probably is a little more reliable than MGs.

While searching for one, got seduced by the Z32 ads and the rest is history.

Or rather, your pics are the history biggrin.gif

Thank, m8ey - good point, good pics.

For Your Eyes only !

Incidentally I owned a Bond Bug ..... redface.gif

Not this one BTW

Barst - got it in one ROFL biggrin.gif

(BTW when I lent it to my mate he drove it in to the back of a new Audi coupe and wrote the Audi off. What a result for a £400 piece of french tinfoil! Almost as funny as my missus driving it througout the winter on only one cylinder...)

Hmmm, a Toyota that looks a bit like a Z, probably launched a few years later, probably faster, but looks like a pregnant goldfish? Does that sound familiar?

Looks like a bit of E-Type inspiration in there to me !

No to both of the above........look-a-like suggestions.

It's plain fookin ugly.....IMHO

Actually the 2000GT pre dated the launch of the 240Z.That picture doesn't do the car justice to be fair. The rear 3/4 view is very similar to the Z car!

Anyone read Autocar today? They reckon the 300ZX to be the best 2nd hand performance car under £5K and the Supra the best under £25K!

Says more about their used values than anything!

JEZ

Actually, the Supra was the best car under 15k.

But the Z for 27/30 and the Supra got 26/30 biggrin.gif

Interesting to see they found a Diablo for 30k.

Sorry I meant £15K, a slip of the old keyboard wink.gifZ32s are ridiculously cheap though!I could buy two now, for the price I paid 2 years ago for mine. It's a shame that some of them will get abused now that they're so affordable and people wont be bothered to spend on their upkeep.

A pampered example will probably be a rarity in a couple of years.

JEZ

The reason for zeds comming in so cheapo i believe is that in Japan the Year a car is made and the engine size depict how much Tax you pay on the car, and i think this particular combination works out the most expensive of the lot. I was told the exact same thing will happen with the supras in 2 years time, they will come down in price the same way :S

(This is what i have heard so im not 100% sure)
