Please help me some one!Got a 1990 twin turbo.And trying to find the right tyre size is doing me nut in!!The rims are from a MAZDA RX8,they are 18s,rim size is 8j.When it comes to tyre sizing im a complete NOVICE!!What is the widest i can go in the back,and what size in the front as i really want to put my alloys on now.Somebody please help me!!!!!!Thanks

Suggest you use the RX8 sizes.

Ideal size for those wheels is 245 35 18 overall circumference of wheel will be as close as you will get it, only 0.43% out. You should not really go wider than 245 on a 8" but I know you can get away with 255's

I'm running 255 35 18s which means I'll be doing 70.48 mph when indicating 70 mph. I use Wheel and Tyre Bible it covers everything (and more) - there is a tyre size calculator about halfway down :cool:

the rx8 wheel spec says 8j 18x8 and 45 ofset so does it matter if for example i go fo 255/35/18 on the rears,or does it have to be 244/45/18? im so confused.com at the moment!!!What is the widest tyre on an 8j rim?

You must have 35 profile otherwise you wheels will be too big! I personally would go for 235 35 18 front and 245 35 18 rear
