Does anyone know if I can buy REAR speakers that will fit into the existing rear speaker bracket on my LWBTT,I realise I may have to drill new holes in the bracket.

Ideally, speakers to compliment my Alpine stereo and better than the existing ones. Help much appreciated :bow:

Think the stock size is 7 x 4 JBL make them, a few others as well. with the JBL ones no need for re drilling holes hey have them in the right places.

6x4 stock non-bose.

I had some new rear speakers fitted earlier in the year when I had my new head unit fitted. I'll see if I've still got the box for them somewhere... hopefully I didn't chuck them out. The guy that did it for me said that the rears were already going through an amplifier, so I'm assuming that's a stock thing from Nissan, because they're definitely miles louder than the fronts and I have to fade everything forward to get a good balance.

FYI -- For the rears, folks often replace the stock box (top panel) with a piece of wood (MDF-fiber composite or similiar) that's been cut out to fit the new speaker size. It's a way to retain the stock box while allowing a larger speaker size fitment....

you'll probably also be able to get adapters from most audio shops or halfords if u want to used different size speakers although must amit they would sound better mounted in MDF

I've got a pair of Longmill's in my rears, don't know if they are made anymore. But the JBL's are a good quality speaker, around £48 a pair when I last looked.

What wattage are the JBL'S? What wattage are the originals??

Got the JBL's in mine. Think they are good enough for my ears. Mine are amped by a JBL amp under the seat. I also have 7 inch JBL's in my rear quarters see pic attached.

I have a pair of 6X4 speakers from my car . They are 100watt x max 240watt.

 

Can't remember the make at mo, but they cost over £160 ans weigh a ton. They fit direct into existing brackets and are very good quality. + They're for sale if your interested.

I have the Lanzar 6x4's in stock .. rated at 60w RMS and 120 watt max

OK, sorry it took so long, but I found the box. My rears are Alpine SXE-4625S 4x6" and 150W peak (20W RMS).

Totally agree. Why muddy the aural waters when you can get a pair of quality components for the front offset by a decent sub or subs in the boot (or wherever)? Just my opinion though.
