I have bought a new driveshaft with Z1 Motorsports , the problem is, the back part of the driveshaft, is thinner than the origicinal one , and the old screw are not "threaded" on the entire lenght. So , the screw can t be tighten !!

I don t know what to do ..... if someone has installed this sort of driveshaft, what is the solution.

How about a washer under the bolt head?

the danger here is that you will be using the threaded part to locate which is undersize, rather than the smooth shank.

Easiest option is to get the threaded part turned down shorter.

If he uses a washer which is the difference in the 2 thicknesses, then he ends up with exactly what he had before.

The shear forces are taken on the threaded part of the bolt either way, and running a die down to make the thread longer will weaken the bolt quiet a lot cos the original threads are rolled on, not cut.
