Does anyone know of an insurance company (broker) that will insure a 20yr old on an jap import car ?

its pushing it a bit but try hyper-performance

your prob pay more for insurence than you did for the car, thats where good ol mum and dad come in handy ;)

am allready insured with them, ............they said no way.

my son was insured on a jap tt 300zx,and after that a import supra and he was 20 with a drink drive, cost him £2400 with no, no claims discount,that was with sky insurance,he's now 21 and drives a 200sx 14a and pays £1400.hope that helps.

i looked up insurence for my son on a cleo they wanted £2500 just for that car but he is 17 bloody joke now :headvswal

I just cant find a Insurance company to insure him on any jap import, he wants a Toyota starlet glanza 1.3 turbo, but not one company will insure him on it because its a import, but he can get insurance on a 300 zx tt uk spec,he cant afford to run one, as he drives to canary wharf from essex every day for work, plus the normal breakdown costs.

I got insurance when I was 20, but I had 4 years no claims by then.

I used to find that Norwich Union would insure anyone, it was just a question of the price !

Just keep shopping round. you'll have to pay through the nose because of age. I put my dad on my insurance as a named driver and it was REDUCED by £400! (still cost a bomb tho')

sure they will.... they insured me .. ok im 24, but a girl with a zim licence (but had to get it changed after a while) ! so cant see why they wouldnt insure ur son..
