Cos no one wants one apart from one other person I really cant see the point in me orginasing it. Quite a poor response out of 100+ south east members.

Very disapointing to say the least.

similar story for the SW area, but we managed to get together half a dozen by including partners..etc

Zed owners are miserable hermits !

Shame we didnt sort it earlier and maybe we could have had a joint one and made it look like there is lots of us who enjoy having fun

It must be disappointing to go to the trouble of arranging something and nobody responds. I was guilty of this but now my car is fixed and I have no excuse so re-advertise the gathering and lets get it on again.

Rob

Last I heard on this was we where or wernt going to london.

some wanted to go to kent, some wanted this some wanted that. At that point I lost intrest and was waiting to see where it Was going to be.

Sory mate, but its always the same, unless its a dofo date and venue your always going to have probs.

The other thing is this is a internet club more than a car club. Realy, how many people actualy meet up on a regular basis? It not many, so if you take the % of thoes people and you factor in personaly commitments that will keep them away you will end up with a very small portion of the club wanting to go.

Think about it, how many times at a meet have you seen 3/4 of this club?

Try looking in here more oftern then, the post on the exact date and time and venue had been up for two weeks with only one person saying yes to it.

Thats the whole point in these meets and my roll in the club. This is NOT an internet club! Its a real life club that broadcasts info instead of by post to let members know whats going on but by using the internet. Its about time people got that into their heads then we would have greats meets, once a month or every other week or whatever. The more we try and get this off the sodding net the better it will be for the club and its members but only WE can do that by trying to organise things like this. Rememebr a few years ago, give a weeks notice and you could have 10 people in the southend area alone out for a curry night. Now look, over a months notice and cant even get more than 2 people out from the whole of the south east!

Now instead of saying "I've lost intrest" and pointing out the bloody obviouse how about offering some help or an idea of something you would like to do and see if we can get a few of us out. Give us a hand Chris not a bloody "Well I knew it wouldnt work" post

About time you woke up, mate. Saying "this is NOT an internet club" you've got to be joking - perhaps you should re-examine the name of our club. The vast majority of us are just that, internet members. Attending the occasional show where we can see other Zed's and identify things we might like to do with our own Zed's is one thing, but if we wanted an excuse for a booze-up I'm sure we could find something better than attending a Christmas-Do with a bunch of foul mouthed boy racers.

Horses for courses I say.

Well, I was up for meeting up with SE for a summer bash, but  maybe not..............!!!!!!!

Threads like this explain why REO's deserve a medal 'cos I'm damn'd sure I couldn't deal with it

Well at least we know what you think of everyone in this club fella :xxx:
Z32Dave has made is pretty clear from the moment he joined what he thinks about anyone who dares to drive over 70mph. I think he'd be happier with a Micra, to be honest. :slap:

Here's my two pence,

I like meeting up with members of this club, and to be honest we have quite regular little meets in our local area.

BUT - christmas can get a little hectic, relatives visit, friends and work organise piss ups etc. It is a bad time of year to meet.

I know that doesn't help but I apprecieate the effort you have gone to Nick, so thank you...

easy fellor WTF is this all about? Thats a bit near the mark for someone who has only posted 300 odd posts. A christmas drink etc is a good chance to meet up with your internet buddys who all share the same interest, its a chance to get together and have a laugh face to face. If that dosnt conform to your way of thinking or the club affends you or fellow zed owners are not your kind of people then maybe you should think about fooking off and owning a different make of car maybe an Austin Cambridge im sure the Austin Cambridge owners club are a little more stiff and polite, and you can go and enjoy a glass of sherry in the club house after your game of bowls.

"a bunch of foul mouthed boy racers. " So remind us again why you own a boy racer car? Prick! :slap:

well thats a relief, i thought it was a middle age crisis car

Come on guys lets stop all the whinging and biting and do something positive .. how about a Xmas bowl ? on a sunday afternoon so you can take the Zed bring the mrs n kids . get on a lane and have a laugh and a few beers .. i couldnt make the original date due to it being my birthday that weekend .. but atleast this is a positive thread .. come on guys .. sensible ideas would be appreciated

John

Its an Internet Based club, but a lot of effort goes into making it more than just an "internet" club. We have Designated Area Event organisers, Regional forum sections for arranging such Meetings/Events, and they even have there own Budget !
