olliezx
Right, the nuts for the bolts which hold the bracing for the gearbox mount to the floor are found inside the car. I am assuming they are captive or welded, well now one isnt... (The bracing is held on by 3 bolts either side, then 2 into the mount. One of the passenger side 3 is broken.) One of them gave way inside the car so now the bolt is still on the nut and is loose and no way of getting it undone. Before i go ripping the interior apart (again) can i actually get to the captive nut or not? Its not quite loose enough to hacksaw it off, but anyway id still have the problem of fitting another nut. lymon
You can not get to the nuts from the inside, so no use to rip out the interior. Only solution is to drill the bolt out or use a grinder.
