Does anyone know what engine this is?

I was watching a slightly dodgy version of Fats & Furious 3 and there's a bit where they fit a 24v turbo nissan engine into a mustang (criminal i know!)

 

It looks like a straight six though, any idea what it is and what it came from? :confused:
