I got HID headlights which look cool and bluey/white (6000K kit).

Now the fog/side lights look a bit yellowy in comparison.

Anyone know where I can get some bluey coloured bulbs to fit them?

Cheers!

Yep, I'm your man for these :D!

I can supply colour coordinated side lights (£17/pair) and slightly whiter fog lights. Unfortunately nobody makes halogen bulbs that are rated at a "true" 6000K. I say "true" because there are some manufacturers that claim their bulbs are rated at 6000K but having tried them myself I can confidently say that they only get as far as 4500~5000K, so still not white enough.

Have a look at the attached pics I took of my own car. It has a 6000K HID kit in the dip beams, Ultra bright LED's in the side lights and Xtreme white fog lights.

The fog lights look quite yellow in comparison but when compared to stock bulbs these are quite a bit whiter.

So in conclusion:

Side Lights: £17.00

Fog Lights: £11.00

Postage: £1.68

Total: £29.68

Fog ligths are in stock, Side lights coming in early part of next week.

Dan

I have led side lights and they are very white with a slight blue tint. They look wicked - i just need the hids now!

Ive replaced every bulb on the car with LED incl interior / Dash teh only bulb with standard filament is the main beam.. i carry over 60 diff types of LED.

The ebay bulbs ive seen fitted to customers cars represent what they are .. cheap, unfortunatly there are a lot of inferior quality LEDs on the market and the price usualy gives it away

My undercar lighting system is the dearest on the market .. but the tubes are made made from the best material money can buy using wide angle high powered LED's and fully waterproof ... we have even tested this tube by driving a car over it at 30mph and powering it up after .. it worked fine! and still does

Danny - my car's a Japanese import. My side lights and fog lights are both in the same housing - I'm guesing there's two bulbs in each then?

The ones further out on my bumper are just indicators.

Yes, in JDM's the square lights in the bumper are both fog and side lights consisting of two separate bulbs as follows:

Fog: H3 55W (with bullet connector rather than spade)

Side: 501 (aka "capless")

Hi Trevor,

As indicated by your photos, the square unit which houses your CURRENT indicators also house the side lights (UK Zeds don't have front fogs). I am not 100% sure as to what bulb fitment your side light is but I would hazard a guess that it is of type 501 just like in the JDM's. Your indicator bulb should be the regular twin pin bulbs. If you can confirm that your current side light is of type 501 (just send me a pic of the bulb and I'll be able to tell you) then you can fit one of our Ultra bright LEDs to match your HIDs.

If I am right in thinking you are at some point going to wire up your 99-spec indicators in order to make them function as the new indicators then you will need new square light assemblies to replace your current indicator/side light combo units. The cheapest ones would be where they only function as fog lights (you'll need to build in a switch on the dash though), if you want them to act as fog and side lights then they are going to be more expensive. As far as I know, Luke at the ZCentre sells new light units. Have a chat with him about pricing and let me know what bulbs you need.

HTH,

Dan

Cool, cheers mate.

I'm about to move house so I'll order when I'm in the new place in a week or two.

May just go for the sidelights, might go for both.

Thanks again

My fogs are not wired up at all.

I fancy putting some spots in thier place. Anyone know of any that fit well?

would also be good as my stock headlights are poo

Exactly!

They use the same switch - I wired in front fogs to my UK car and put a small rocker switch on top of the right hand pod....

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
