after reading about regular oil changes and with my car in the garage having the turbo's done, I was just wondering exactly how easy it is doing an oil change d.i.y style??

i'll be honest with you i like to keep my hands nice and soft as women like em like that but the guy who does my oil changes slags me rotten as he sez its a piece of piss to do even the filter is easy to get at he tells me

If you have a car jack then it makes things fairly straight forward.

 

The filter can sometimes be a PIA if you don't have the right tool to loosen it.

 

Then you have to consider disposing of 4litres of oil.

 

If you running up miles like Simon and need to change the oil every other weekend then to do the oil DIY would be a good thing.

 

Try it once, it only gets easier. Before you know it, you'll be tackling the cambelt ;-)
