import engine number

my v5 document says engine number not known is this the case of all imported cars thanks taff.

    no i think my V5 says it correctly - there should be a plate at the front of the engine bay that has the engine number and some other details on it.

    when i brought my old Zed in i just put the numbers from the chassis number in as the engine number and they seemed fine,i've seen a few that are blank too.
