After serious answers please guys. I want something that is fast (not more than 8sec to 60) and that looks nice / is a bit rare. I knwo zeds are great and people will say skylines, and i might go that route. But i would also like suggestions for slightly newer cars.

 

As you know i was involved in an accident (not my fault) and the zed has been writen off, im after something that might survive an insurance claim if knocked (ie not 15 years old i guess...)

£10k isn't a huge amount really for something decent AND interesting, so I'd probably still have a Z. But yeah, I do like the S15 Silvias. Although I think it wouldn't take much to write one of these off due to part obtainability. It's not like the Z where they actually sold them in the UK...S15s were never available in Europe.

i dont think ive seen one in the flesh. i was never a fan of s13 and s14 etc but the s15 silvia is absolutely stunning.

Same as. I find the S13 pretty bland. The front of the facelift S14 looks nice, but it hasn't got a nice profile and a pretty ugly rear end.

Just checked on autotrader....looks like you can find the odd one for £11k...gorgeous vehicles

i seen a white s15 blastin round castle coomb an it looks even better in the flesh!!

Celica gt4 st205.. get a good one for 5k, 5k left for modding the arse off it at which point it will spank most other things on the road. 4WD, superb grip. Not as common as scoobies.

i went for one of these, quite rare to find one now days especially in such good condition and with such low mileage.

 

 

swapped my zed for it, now im having the head and cam towers done and ported and polished, turbo upgrade, and spare head and turbo as well.

Err I would have one of these again.

Not to everyone's taste, but I absolutely love these. They look great, very very tuneable and a good one will always hold its money like any Classic Ford.

 

 

love some of the ideas here guys, especially the escort cosworth but thought they were alot more cash than £10k. Westfield is a bit too aggressive as i need this to be my daily drive, come rain or shine!

 

Wondered about an rx7, dont know anything about them, had heard they were unreliable and cost a fortune to maintain (clearly my zed cost peanuts to run..)

You can get them for that much, but not the best in the world. Cheaper, not so tidy Lotus Carltons go for around the same cash, all though really good ones fetch double that still. You can't not like these.

Have to be The P5B Coupe, But I've done that before so I'd for a VX220 to be honest.

 

You can pick em up for that kind of money and the Turbo will chip to 300bhp with un rivaled handling and unde 4 second 0 to 60 and 150 top end. + light on fuel and unlike the Elise the ride of the VX220 is something you can live with on a day to day basis.

With a bit of hunting you could pick up a Alfa GT for around 10k
