I've used that just to hold the engine, but not to lift it.

Didnt know if I should trust it.

But if thats ok thats what ill do!!

Cheers!

I've lifted engine and box using the plenum!

The brackets produced by nissan for the VG30 bolt on in the following places:

Drivers side front, remove the harness bracket and then bolt on bracket there

Passenger side rear, bolts on beneath the idle valve assembly - can't remember what needs to be removed there if anything LOL

Just be carefull that as it takes the weight, the strap doesn't slide inwards and wipe the injector connectors off/damage the fuel temp sender/bend the fuel rails ;)

Can the engine be removed without attaching to the plenium?? as i made the mistake of removing the plenium to try to get to the heads, as i now discoverd, its easier to take the engine out, then do the heads, is it better to put the plenium back on then sling out or is there another way. If so how and where to attach too???

Sling a rope through the exhaust manifold under the sump... Or round the engine mounts...
