Were you flashed by a gatso or a truvelo camera?

same thing happened to me doing 40 down a road that as i remember has always been 40 but addmit not been down there for quite a while first i knew of it was a few weeks later when i got a letter in the post with a nice picture of the car, saying i was doing 40 in a 30 zone, dont remember seeing a camera or even a mobile camera, so went down that road again to make sure, no cameras no 30mph sign either, they obviously changed the speed limit since my last trip down there. I think someone was being a little bit sneaky and hidding

Didnt there used to be a loop hole regarding temporary speed limits?? It went something like "unless they have a bye-law passed with the local authority stating the new speed limit then its not legally enforcable". Although the have probably changed that law now as iirc thousands of convictions were overturned on this point a year or so ago. Might be worth checking up on though on one of the anti-speed camera sites.

I believe that they need to send you a notice of prosecution within 14 days... i wasn't so luck as I got mine within 7 days for doing 36 on a 30 in the lake district!
