My speedo has been playing the jumping game @ 40mph then up to 60 etc, have been able to rectify in past by tapping the head with cover off.I've researched posts and thought i'd give resoldering a go, have reconnected, turned ign to acc, the needle jumped to 40 and reset itself,ok i thought, left it cos dark, today needle straight round to 180..ain`t budging, this is before the car`s even started, moved it to zero by hand..nothing,have borrowed a set of clocks in past, all worked ok so not the sensor, will check connections again but methinks tis buggered, any ideas anyone?

I have got the same problem as you. Speed sensor has been changed so not the problem. What have you tried so far and which posts have been helpful?
