fitting short shifter

hello.

Is fitting a short shifter an easy job or hard???

 

is it a job i can do from the top of the car (cockpit) or do i need to work from underneath it?

Does anyone have any links for a site that explains it or anyone possibly done it before?

    You can do it from in the car.

    Just take the centre console surround off and unbolt a plate round the gear lever.

    Pretty easy.
