Ok, lets start at the beginning. Firstly what does the output rod do and does it need adjusting if i replace the pads, servo and master cylinder?

Secondly I purchased a complete Servo and master cylinder which is guaranteed to work and guaranteed for 30 days and fitted it to the car. I bled the system EXACTLY as stated in the Nissan service manual 3 times. There is no trace of air in the brake lines. However, I have EXACTLY the same problem as i posted before with a completely different servo and master cylinder. When I start the car the pedal drops to the floor as in absolutely no pressure until i have a hissy fit pumping the pedal then i get amazing pressure til i take my foot off. Then absolutely nothing.

i seriously need a solution to this as I need my car tomorrow. I've borrowed a friends for three weeks too long as it is and its beginning to take the p**s a bit. Plus my zed is an EVERYDAY CAR, so it must be repaired. guys just what the hell do i do. I've never ever had a problem bleeding brakes before and this is ridiculous. Bleed and bleed and bleed and zero pressure.

Please help. I'm just outside Chester if anyone can come down and help me tomorrow. Friday I'm supposed to be meeting and travelling around the UK with an overseas friend so I really really need help URGENTLY.

WHy does it say not to use DOT 5 on 300.org? On most sites it says to use DOT 3 or higher. I've filled mine with DOT 5 now come home after the 5th time bleeding to find that i shouldn't have used it. Totally lost.

Want me to come down tomorrow? Actually its today now. Got a 200 to sort then I'm free?

Are you free mate? Really need your help.

dot 5 corrodes the seals in the brake system in some cars mainly older ones i think ;)

Got to the bottom of it over the phone :)

Calipers were mounted on the wrong sides - therefore the bleed nipple was at the bottom of the caliper. As most people know, air rises, so no matter how much bleeding was done, the air was still at the top of the caliper... Was just by chance that i even asked if the nipples were at the top LOL

Calipers were mounted on the wrong sides

OOOOOOOPS!!!

Looks like I wont be getting anymore help calls now :nana2:
