Call me crazy, but I really fancy a Z31. Has anyone on here ever owned one? Have you guys any advise?

yea nice scoop alright mine has a carbon flush scoop in the passenger side. i was goona get her dyno'd because she seems quicker than my old 2.5 tt supra which was 2280 bhp. just seems to have more .

Nothing wrong with a Z31 I have had two and i gotta say the N/A version is not really worth looking at but the turbo is cool not far of a n/a z32

love the Z31's as much as any other Z ...i was getting my hands on a 200ZR and the beginning of this year but someone beat me to it ....

I had one ages ago but it rotted away before my very eyes. :mad:

 

I would have one (IN ADDITION) if I could afford it but dont see the point as the Z32 is a far superior car in every way.

engines been fully overhauled in japan, a/m ECU, One off intercooler v mounted electric fans, v mounted underneath, with vfc controller in glove box, turbo timer, boost controller, hard piping, Full stainless system very loud but silencer baffle is in the boot, recaro front seatsn front and rear strutbraces, uprated front brakes ,look like z32 or skyline jpbbies can't be sure which though full nismo suspension, volf racing deep dish alloys grey in centre and chrome lip with no scratches or scuffs whatsoever, 255/40/17's on the rear and 235's on front, I can't see the turbo tbh so i don't know if it's standard but she's set at 1 bar at high boost and any higher she cuts out the turbo so it's a safety thing i suppose, paint is flawless, engine is a vg30de from i don't know what, if they went to the trouble of dropping in a new engine then i'm guessing that she has new gaskets done. she can possibly go higher on the boost if you can bypass the safety but i daren't go near it forfear of blowing her up she also has an uprated lsd

I've owned a couple of Z31's......

 

 

 

The Turbo Z31 has the same sort of HP as an NA Z32 but the turbo gives it more torque and overtaking kick!

To drive, they feel like they were designed 20years before the Z32 model though!

I didn't bother in the end. Couldn't find a good one. Might buy my old Z32 back as it still hasn't sold. Might try another GTO though! ;-)

THe one that Si posted looks fine - otherwise I do think they look dated and not quite the classics that the 240/260Z were.....

 

......however Bruce Willis drove (a white) one in the 1980s movie "Bind Date" and it looked cool then :dance:

 

As for the Supra performance comparison - IMO the 2.5tt was shite. I had 2 MA70 3.0 turbos (one UK, one Jap) and they were better/faster than the (Jap only) 2.5tt. despite the "official" figures and Supra Forum chat :tongue:

i had one back in 88 champayne full body kit manual turbo and chipped etc loved it to bits ,found it really reliable had it for 3 years
