FFS What is it with me and ZEDS??

Ok so you all now about the big power engine rebuild i'm doing on my SILVER zed blah blah blah.

 

I was cruising in my red zed last night after having done a caliper seal kit (huge difference by the way!). after a little thrashing the aire con went strangely cold!

 

Parked up outside the house and sure enough, temp gauge started to rise and hissing for the engine bay. FFS took one zed off the road and now this one looks like its going too!

 

one of the little water pipes under the inlet manifold collector had split. so spen the whole of today (sunday) pulling the intake manifold collector off and replacing all the water pipes etc and decided to clean the throttle bodies out as well.

 

Put it all back togehter and now its missing what sounds like on two or more cylinders. it can barely keep itself idling. FFS gonna have to check all the injector connectors tomorrow. strange thing is that it wasnt doing it before i did all this. must be an injector as when i pull the leads for the coil pack off, some make a difference and others dont!

seriously, just disregard anything thats said unless i say it. spoke to ginger and he said that theres a lot of jealousy flying about because of the amount of money (15,000 +) and the output i'm gonna get outta my zed demon.

 

Some people are like little kiddy winks. They cant stand someone who is 23, doesn't work and has made enough money from the time he was 15 to retire now. read it and weep!!

 

anyways back to you and me. i'll propose if you want???? LOL

its gonna have stainless steel conrods and crank, forged pistons (oversized) with ceramic piston crowns, uprated pair of turbos (keeping these quiet for now!), cam kit, solid lifters, uprated valve springs, valve seats and valves re faced and cut, new engine management (still researching this one), FCD, 4 channel boost controller, HP meter, A/F regulator, electric fan kit, and so so much more!

Phuck Me Latz - Was speakin to Johnny yesterday and he said you were goin for the full monty !

 

If your dropping cylinders after just replacing the Water feeds on the plenum - i would check the state of the loom bud - I would say you either have a dodgy connection or your connectors are on the way out ! Get the EFI changed when the engine is out deffo worth it !!!

 

Spec looks good didn't have time to take it all in as im off out for lunch but ditch the Eletric fan bud - it will never keep the motor cool and not worth the risk -> HP Gain !

Wow what a spec, I want to see that at the Pod when its ready, truly awesome.

 

Be careful of the electric fan kit. I had one fitted to replace the main viscous fan(engine side of rad) and found that the aircon pump started to overheat and screech when I was sat on idle. The standard viscous fan seemingly pushes air on idle past the pump and the electric fan just didn't do it enough. In the end the pump seized so the fan had to be dropped in favour of the old viscous unit. Just thought I would mention this.
