Hello John,

I was just about to PM you to thank you for all your time on Saturday. so thanks mate, the whole car is running better now. It's so much stronger when it pulls, and it spools up so much quicker. :nana2:

I had real trouble keeping it below 100mph on the way back :nono: . It seems to go from 100 to 120 in about 2 seconds now!

I gave it a few good runs in 5th and it was boosting well. I was getting peak boost at around 15.5 psi. Which I am very happy with. :hyper:

Now I've got to start looking for HICAS ball joints.

Life is never dull when you own a Zed!

Thanks again John, see you soon. Mike...

Hi Mike

Did you get your ECU done? kinda obvious if johns been at it but thought id ask anyway

Yes, he did. Was a boost controller fit and chip job plus sorted out some issues with vac leaks, TPS, coolant temp connector etc.

This sounds fun John. Just joined the forum, Mike's suggestion and he said you'd chipped him up a bit. I'll be in touch if that's ok as 300hp is getting a bit boring to be honest. I really want to feel my ears hit the rear window!

Hey Fas,

Yeah John helped me out with a few things including ECU and EBC. :hyper:

Funny thing was it had already been fitted with an aftermarket chip! I don't think T knew about this.

Anyway, John stuck it in his computer and analysed it. It turned out to be a strange one with very rich fuelling low down in the range

Thanks again John...

Aftermarket chip heh.........which one?

Ill let him know

Whats EBC?

Why would it be rich in fuelling low down in the rev range

Don't know what chip it was, it was unmarked. It was set up for rich fuelling almost from tickover at low and medium loads, very odd.

JD chips come very highly rated the job he did socketing my ECU was very tidy, i could imagine the mess i would have made :nono:

John can you supply and map a chip for me? justafter a rough price at the moment, it's a 92 j'spec auto TT.

Thanks

Neil

For standard(ish) spec an 'off the shelf' type chip is £50, if you want custom mapped then drop me a PM and we can discuss.
