Although they are bigger bore than the stock Z32 MAF I've read conflicting reports that they max out earlier, yet other say they are good for 600hp+

Other option would be to hack the stock MAF into a 3"+ tube so it flows more air at the same voltage.

Anyone using either of these on their Z, I'd prefer to go with one of these so I don't have to piss about with dual intake, but obviously if the Q45 maxes out earlier there's no point.

Mapping won't be a problem as I'll be going Zemulator.

Q45 = Vh45de engine.......speak to "John dixon" for technical info on it, and "Friday" may be able to source one for you.

The Q45 can flow enough air for about 700 bhp and the oem 300zx about 500 bhp so you would be better getting 2 300zx afm's or ditch them all together and go for a map sensor ;)

I'm looking at 500hp@fly maximum really but would like a little headroom. MAP would be nice but means standalone EMS @ ££££

If the Q45 would handle 700hp that should be more than enough for me, 2xZ32 MAF would require SAFC to combine the signals, 2 filters, pipework etc. Even if I went dual pop w/dummy MAF I'd have do do the low speed driveability mods.

If the Q45 is a near bolt-on surely this would be the easiest & most cost effective solution?

TBH the oem AFM would be more than enough for you bud ;) so i would go down that route until you want more power
