Doolz or ECU

Hi guys

 

Doing a project engine for next year .. im not sure whether to go for the doolz set up or change the ecu

 

youre comments on this would be most greatfull

Depends what you want to do with it.

Stock ECU will be fine in most applications, but rather than a doolz I'd go for to MAFs and an SAFC or similar to average the signal.

If you're changing the cams, go for an aftermarket ECU as progression and idle can be tricky to get right on the stock ECU.

Emerald ECU is ~£550+VAT

ECU sounds like the better way to go for what ive got planned .. who is the ECU available from in the uk?

From emerald direct, they're based in norfolk. Should be possible to re-use the existing loom, was going to make a conversion harness at one time, be pretty simple.
