Ok, I've got a 91 manual fairladyz & 2 questions really.

 

Firstly the spedo cuts out at 95mph & i mean completely, the needle just drops back to 0 & comes back up when i slow down but all else seems fine otherwise. i'm guessing this will be down to the black box convertor thingy but just wanted a second opinion??

 

Secondly, I was caning it down the a12 last weekend & seemed to hit a limiter in 4th but it was only around 4500 / 5000 rpm, I didn't think this was right as I've been past that in the lower gears. Is this normal?? If not any ideas on this??

112 mph would be around 5000ish rpm in 4th, so u would hit the limiter

 

as for speedo going awol, loose connection somewhere? sensor on gearbox foofed?

ok so is this a speed limiter i.e. should i hit it in 5th as well??
