Importing a car to the UK

Could anyone help me out here......

 

I'm considering buying a car that is, currently, in France. It has already been imported into France from the US. So my question is.... will I have to pay import duty, whats the going rate, any problems I could encounter with this route, etc?

 

The car in question is not a runner at the moment, some people on here, who go to the same sites as I do, may already know the car ;) If you do would you mind PMing me your thoughts :D :bow: One person especially knows, as I was talking to him about it on Saturday :rofl:
