My sigma alarm system don't work anymore, which means I can't start my car, as I don't know the pin code for the keypad. Anybody know anything about sigma alarms? I've searched on tinternet and can't find a website. I need to get an engineer to come and fix the thing but don't know where to start! Any ideas...?

Try ringing the previous owner and asking for the pin number?

Otherwise use yellow pages and find your nearest mobile car alarm specialist, who happens to deal in Sigma alarms.

I believe the company that makes Sigma is called something like "Secure Micro Systems." Try a 'net search on that instead.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Im a SIGMA engineer, Have you got the keypad fitted?

has the alarm went completely dead or is it just ignoring the remote?

Paul.

If its disarmed you could try

*17856*92*1234*1234#

thisshould change pin to 1234 but only if alarm is disarmed

I do work for Toad - I can put you in touch if it'll help.

Good luck

i had the same prob with my sigma had to use key pad had key fobs tested and yhey where ok something went wrong with the alarm it self ended up having it taken out and new 1 fitted

to recode remotes

*17856*91*(enter amount of remotes to be recoded ie 1,2,3,4)# this will be followed by a long bleep. then press first remote key(followed by bleep)

press next remote key(followed by bleep again)

repeat until all remotes have been programmed.when last has been programmed the led will flash the amount of remotes that are coded

The alarm isn't activated, as I started just using the key to lock/unlock the doors, and then used the key fob to dissarm the imobilisor. The problem is either the sensor in the car or the fob itself. The car just can't seem to detect the fob when I press the button (its not the batteries). Unfortunately the previous owner is in US so not contactable and I don't have the pin for the keypad. I will try entering the code to reset the pin on the keypad. Does the ignition need to be on (ie, imobilisor off), or just the alarm dissarmed?

Anybody know where I can order a replacement key fob from?

http://www.tg21plc.com These guys own Toad. You'll see at the top right of the home page there's a dealer locator. Enter your post code and bingo, here's your nearest dealer - assuming it's kept up to date.

Good luck

Jack

I can sort one out for you mate, think there round about £30+ del.

are you def sure the problem is the keyfob and not the alarm?

Paul.
