....on the docks next to my office.

 

My office is right by the docks and I'm on the forest product terminal side. You get a lot of lorries delivering and collecting timber and such likes which has been landed by the vessels on the quayside.

 

Anyway, sat here and hear this repetitive banging noise. Was getting fed up with it to be honest. One of the agents from next door decides to raise the alarm, I look out 5 mins later and a load of immigrants are being hauled out of the back of this lorry with loads of port officials and police stood by. This is like 10 metres...literally from my office. Was quite hilarious as this port is a relatively quiet port and is used for the transportation of goods and such like, not a port like Dover, Southampton or Portsmouth etc.

 

Mind you, they are probably happy as they are now going to be taken to some asylum somewhere where they'll be given beds, clothes, food etc....

 

Just being taken away as I type this. Shame I haven't got my camera.

 

I kinda feel sorry for the lorry driver. Although it’s his responsibility and he may have unknowingly transported these people, he’s going to be banged up in prison for the night and the likely hood is he’ll be charged and fined approx £10,000….for a Pole, that’s probably about 2 years salary.

Like you say, shame you haven't got a camera - the tabloids might have bought it.

 

 

 

The only problem is they're going to cost the tax payer a fortune now whether they're alowed to stay or if they send the buggers back.

They wont get sent back you know that, just wait untill next year when romania and another country join the EU. I have to go through Harwich international in the train they have a big Xray machine the lorries have to drive through when the come off the ships

There are 5 of them. 2 are of North African origin by the looks of them and the rest are native central Africans. They have a higher chance of getting sent back than non EU continental countries I spose.
