Excellent company for all your gearbox requirements, they have a set pricing for a strip and rebuild which I think is £169+ VAT for all sub 2,000cc gearboxes and £269+ VAT for over 2000cc, come very highly recommended to me...

2) Intelligent Tuning

 

(taken from the 323 owners club with which were crying out for a competent

gearbox rebuilding company and so far owners with 323's seem very pleased with their work...)

 

Intelligent Tuning are proud to offer this forum offers on gearbox rebuilds.

 

Typical examples are :-

 

FWD boxes - Strip and rebuild fee - £140

 

4WD boxes - Strip and rebuild fee - £200

 

Please note that any parts needed are at extra cost (we can source or you can supply).

 

We can source OE or Uprated bearings for boxes also.

We have noticed that the 4WD boxes in nearly all cases need new centre diff bearings, the cost for these (atm) is £50

Si you know my love with Jap cars started with 323's and they always had a problem with gearboxes!!, Intelligent seems to have very very competitive prices!!

what about auto boxes

3D do both, not sure about Intelligent..

Incidently, it's having the 99-spec rear spoiler fitted next week. :)

...also, do that remove/refit too?

thought u never like spoilers!! my favourite is the 94/95 spoilers with the 99 spec being 2nd choice:) as for Nissan 300 ZX gearbox removal I can tell you that they are quite straight forward gearboxes to remove in comparison to removal of Skyline boxes which is a lot harder!! 3D do the whole thing but not sure on Intelligent...

All we need now is someone to do a decent upgrade path for the manual box at sensible cash!

have this morning spoken to Intelligent who should hopefully post up what they can do for the ZX's soon... I have a manual gearbox with a slightly noisy input shaft bearing that I will be sending to them this week:)

a fast road spec box would be good

Will stay watching this thread with interest to see what they can come up with

Update - spoke to Andy today he will be letting the club know what they can offer soon, also they can remove and refit gearboxes on site...
