coward lol

According to Popbitch Jean Claude Van Damme was at a celebrity brothel recently and he opted for 'gak* and boys'.

And he's a midget.

*I think this means cocaine.

Done. Over 14000 now!!!!!

Have to say I was deeply shocked when I heard Hamster was in an accident, and hope he has a speedy and full recovery.

This is one of the few programmes left on TV that I watch religiously, and I have to say it's 10x better than anything else. So what if they don't review new cars? All reviews are going to be biased slightly to due the reviewers personal taste. If I want to know about a car I'll take it for a test drive or look up some user reviews on the net.

The fact that they have a 200 year witing list to go on the show shows how popular it is (ok slight exageration but you get the idea :D )

its not the crash that has swayed my opinion, its the "lets build a car boat" and "lets get a caravan and upset all the other people on the raod"

i have lots of clarksons vids and i think that james may and the hamster are good presenters and they are funny

some of the things that they have done on the show are an absolute waste of time why the fook would i want to watch someone build a carboat then endanger the lives of themselves and others to see if they will float

if thats what you like maybe you should weld up the doors on your zed and drive it into a canal

all i read was WHINE WHINE WHINE

:p

right i will set my views straight

top gear aint a motoring programme anymore, its more of a light entertainment programme, i like it for the entertainent, but as a motoring programme its a load of rubbish

i tink a lot of people are forgetting what top gear originally was, it was a motoring programe

i love watching people hoon around in fast cars doing power slides and drifts, i dont like watching people buying a caravan and making a point of making life hell for other drivers

yes its great for watching fast cars, but its a load of rubbish when it comes to tackling real life situations

I think that jezza knows that if people really want to find out about new cars that they can afford they will buy a magazine or look on parkers or something. With just an hour a week you simply can't cover enough cars in depth so therefore they make a crackin' entertainment program that involves automobiles.

I can't believe people are trying to get rid of top gear. Are these the same people that are going around austrailia killing sting rays?

See to me i watched the original top gear, in fact a have a copy of about 20 episodes from 1989 (including about 20 seconds of the zed just before it was released) and it was boring, the only saving grace was clarkson and i remember as a kid i used to wait for clarkson to come on.

Fifth gear has proved it's boring and they're now trying to rip off top gear.... badly.

I dare you to watch both an old episode and a new one and say which is the more entertaining.

I pay my liscence fee and 99% of the stuff that's on is shite. I have to download tv from the states (nip tuck, family guy and lost) to fill in my time.

There are occasional moments of genius on tv like spaced and michel and webb etc that make it worthwhile but nothing in my opinion is more entertaining than top gear.

Clarkson says in his article that people complain that that the producers push them into this stuff but they do it for the love of their cars.

I watch it for the laugh they have making it, the enjoyment they have rubs off on cheers me up.

Yes there are pointless ones like the renault clio versus a mountainbiker, etc but on the flip side there were also the races across europe, the audi a8 diesal review kept me on the edge of my seat!

I love top gear and it's one of the last remaining good entertainment programmes on tv.

Car shows are boring, long live top gear!

oh yeah baby ....i'm in 14560######

.....

Surely you'd vote for the old episode? You can't beat a bit of William Woollard or Chris Goffey or maybe Michelle Newman being forced to review yet another people carrier! :headvswal

pmsl  chris goffey was awesome, looked like a pipe smoker but thrashed everything he drove. You watch them back now and he goes screaming round corners in everything lol

Like i said on the richard hammond thread, Its all to do with money the BBC have got windy and it all comes down to pounds shillings and pence, their scared of insurence claims. Does an accident where someone could of lost his life justify pulling the plug on a show? What about senner and ratzenburger losing their lives in an F1 race car,and the many near fatel accidents in F1 or any other high risk sport, would that justify stopping F1? Well it hasnt, so why should TG be any different? Its the pin head producers getting windy soon as something goes wrong pulling the plug is their way of covering up their guilt, while the ratings are up and these presenters are risking their lives without anything going wrong, they are quite happy to risk the lives of people.

Anyway i told em TG is the only program the BBC air that is worth watchin imo take it of the air you can stuff your licence fee. So there!

i love top gear and its a shame what happened - it could happen to anyone... but when someone gets in a car that fast they should know what they are getting them selves into and what could happen - no one is a perfect driver and no tyre is perfect...

he's lucky thats all im saying

even the missus likes top gear and she hates cars lol

enough said me thinks ;)

there is no way Top Gear will be pulled.

its is one of the BBCs highest rating programmes and its sold all over the world make them a lot of money.

The only way top gear would finish was if all three left the programme and from what they've said they enjoy making the proggy so much i can't see that happening

heheh

Top show hilariously funny all the presenters bounce off each other really well

There is not a program on TV anywhere in the world that is going to please everyone. Bearing that in mind shut up arguing over if its any better or worse than it used to be. its what it is because it has grown into just that. Its called progression and variety is the key. Top Gear is still better than all the others....Vroom Vroom, 5th gear, secondhand car show and any that I have not mentioned. The presenters make it what it is and it wouldnt be the same without Richard Hammond but it would still work eventually. :nono:

It never worked with the fat guy in the first series. Hammond fitted the bill perfectly, long live Hamster
