It's not the typical gurgle that AIV valves make, can't discribe the noise. I can prevent if from happening, but reving and changing gear slowly. It's almost like an unhealthy woshing noise. Gets louder the higher the revs and the faster I lift off.

 

It's not that loud, I just notice it.

....it 'almost' sounds like it's a belt, but it's not.

....and I also get a build up of the same noise, say if I'm in 1st or 2nd gear holding the revs.

Not "goose honk" is it?

Recirc valve noise maybe?

You should of brought your car with you the other day mate. Pop round again with it si one of the boys can go for a spin with you and check it out.

Nothing wrong with the goose honk. Apart from when you first hear it, I thought it was my newly installed horns going off because I facked something up! Haaa! But if your hitting pos boost and you get a funny sound the more you put your foot down then it's quite likey to be the goose honk.

Does it sound like someone blowing over the top of a glass bottle? If so it's goose honk.
