I'll like to attempt doing this pita job myself this time.

I've got some battery-powered bolt remover and other normal tools.

any word of what to look out for and if you feel I must let Nissan take my £400.00 to do the job, feel free to say so.

Thanks

If there is anyone on the forum who could assist with the job but charge me less, please PM me. thanks.

Plenty of specialists on here mate that could do the job for you. Wouldn't let nissan main dealers do it for you. Most of the mechanics working for nissan were still in school when the 300zx came out.

Do it your self. Its a piece a piss.

Rad and fan out, those two metal pipes off engine block.

Slacken all auxillary things off, p/s pump, alternator.

Pulley off, I used a puller, some people hit em.

Cam belt covers off.

Take up load on tensioner.

Blet off and do reverse.

Prob missed a few little bits, but its not really that hard is your a little mechanically minded!

i got a full service plus cambelt done in a jap car specialist in milton keynes cost me £415 all in

i logged mine in my journal thingy on here take a look if you want. You only need a few 'specialist' tools, 5 and 6mm hex sockets (allen keys just aint going to work on the water hoses), 27mm socket. Don't forget the rubber water hoses the old ones will probably end up being cut off.
